Macromedia Flash menghasilkan file bertipe SWF yang bisa digunakan untuk situs Web, Multimedia Interaktif, atau aplikasi lainnya. Sudah bukan rahasia lagi, SWF sebenarnya bisa dibongkar kembali menjadi FLA yaitu format file project Flash yang berisi elemen seperti movie clip, action script serta elemen lainnya.

1. Klik menu [File] > [Publish Settings...].
2. Beri tanda pada kotak Flash.
3. Aktifkan tab menu [Flash].
4. Pada grup Option beri tanda kotak Protect from import dan Debugging permitted.
5. Masukkan kata sandi pada kotak Password.
6. Klik [Publish] untuk mengkompilenya menjadi SWF yang terproteksi. 

Nah, dengan cara diatas Macomedia Flash akan meminta kata sandi jika file tersebut akan diimport. Juga ketika akan dikonversi kembali menjadi FLA.
